Woodland Park Lodges

Rowan lodge was clean and warm, and clean bedding and towels were provided. There were a couple of signs it was a little dated, but nothing that spoiled our lovely stay. Our dog enjoyed the complimentary treats, which were a nice touch. The hot tub was clean and hot, and each one is emptied and refilled after every stay. It felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, looking up at the stars from the tub. We enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend woodland park lodges.

The site sits among the trees, quiet and peaceful, and we loved seeing squirrels, crows and ducks in their natural surroundings. The woodland walk is beautiful, with a little pond and bench that became a favourite spot. Tesco was only an 8 minute drive away, which was handy. We stayed in sycamore lodge, which was immaculate when we arrived, with the heating and lights already set nicely for us. We cooked on the BBQ every evening, and I loved sitting on the front porch with coffee and a book each morning. Can’t wait to go back.

Rowan Lodge had everything we needed, as it’s fully self-contained. We had a lovely three-night getaway and enjoyed the hot tub, plus a BBQ one evening after a big hike in the Shropshire Hills. Ellesmere is only a 5min drive away, so we went in for a few drinks and fish and chips. We also had a lovely morning walking round the mere. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Orchid treehouse felt like a home from home, with spacious, spotless rooms and everything we needed. The setting was calm and peaceful, and relaxing in the hot tub while listening to nature was lovely. Our dog was in heaven, and the complimentary dog treats and homemade jam for us were thoughtful touches. There are great places to eat a short drive away, though the kitchen was so well equipped that self-catering was easy. A peaceful, pet-friendly getaway, and we can’t wait to return.
