The rooms are clean and fantastic, and the Sunday carvery has been amazing on the several times I've visited. It's a rare find around here. There's a large bar and restaurant, with a relaxed feel that's good for a chilled evening. Food is cooked fresh and tastes great, and the menu is really well put together. Service is fantastic and they do their best to cater to your needs, including allergies. The draught lagers are the crispest I've tasted, there's a changing ale selection, and plenty of spirits and tonics. I'd recommend a visit for either a drink or a meal.

The welcome and service were excellent when we brought the family in for a meal. The carvery and roast potatoes were brilliant, the children's food was very good, and the puddings were good too. We'll definitely come back.

We had a lovely three-night stay at this family-run hotel. Our basic double room, booked at the last minute, worked perfectly for us, with plenty of drawer space and a small area for hanging clothes. It was spotlessly clean, and the en-suite had a lovely shower. The food was great and the staff were friendly and helpful. Ely, with its beautiful cathedral, is only three miles away. We'd highly recommend the Anchor Hotel and would like to return.

The restaurant food was wonderful, and the staff were really friendly. Great place.

We visited The Anchor as a family for the first time and found it a welcoming local pub. The staff were friendly, everything was clean, and our roast dinner was lovely and very good value.
