Spuggies Rest

I spent a week at Spuggie's Rest, and it was a lovely place to settle in. The cottage had everything I needed close to hand, with a well-equipped kitchen where everything worked, a homely living room, and a TV with Netflix. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the bathroom fittings were modern and efficient, and both the shower and bath were great. It was clean, tastefully decorated, bright during the day, and cosy in the evenings. There’s plenty to explore nearby. The Northumbrian coast is about a 15-minute walk away, with a beautiful local beach and lovely walks towards Dustanburgh castle or the village of Low Newton. We also had some great days out by car, including trips to Alnwick and Bamburgh Castle. You could easily spend the week exploring the countryside and beaches, or just relaxing in the garden under the apple tree.
