The breakfast was great, and the packed lunch was a real treat, especially the homemade cake. The garden is lovely, and the rooms and bathrooms are clean, uncluttered, and fitted with high-quality furniture and materials. It’s a peaceful, beautiful spot, but the owners have clearly put plenty of time, effort, money, and skill into making the B&B special in its own right. As Mary Poppins might say, “practically perfect in every way”.

The view is glorious when the weather’s clear, and even on a foggy day it’s lovely. The owners are friendly and know a lot about the area. Breakfast was simple but nice. If you’re after a B&B around here, you can’t really argue with this one. Wish I had a reason to come back.

Roger & Christine even sorted us breakfast sandwiches and orange juice for our early start, just the fuel we needed to set off on the Coast to Coast. We stayed the night before, and the room was beautiful for the three of us. Such a hidden gem. Thanks so much, and see you next time 👍

The hosts were welcoming, the views were stunning, and the rooms lived up to them. Wonderfully comfortable.
