The countryside setting was quiet and relaxing, but Enniskillen and its lovely surrounding lakes were still close by. We spent four wonderfully restful days at Pigeon Brae, and the photos really don’t show how lovely it is. We were looking for dog-friendly accommodation near Enniskillen, and this place turned out to be perfect. Maggie and Stephen were genuinely lovely hosts who went above and beyond. They left us a welcome basket with the basics and some extra treats, and our little dog had a ball. I was so impressed that I booked again before I’d even been home for three days, this time with some family. I’ve recommended Pigeon Brae to lots of people and feel confident doing so. Now I’m packing for my return tomorrow!

The nights are so peaceful here, and the stars are beautiful. There’s a shop and garage about a 5-10 minute walk away, Enniskillen town is around a 30-minute drive, and Irvinestown has shops and takeaways about 10-15 minutes away. We had everything we needed, and the grounds were perfect for our dog, who loved it. Stephen and Maggie were great hosts, and the welcome basket was a thoughtful touch. We’ll definitely stay again.

It’s a lovely countryside spot, with the pub within walking distance and town only a short drive away. We were welcomed by the neighbours over a wee glass of wine, and Stephen and Maggie were as hospitable and accommodating as hosts can be. Nothing was too much trouble. It would suit a couple or a small family, and we’ll definitely return.

The location is really handy, about a 20-minute drive into Enniskillen and convenient for Castle Archdale. Tullana restaurant is roughly three minutes down the road, with a Spar shop another minute on. The apartment is attached to the owners’ house and has two large bedrooms plus a spacious living and kitchen area. Maggie was a great host and answered all our questions.

Maggie was such a lovely, helpful host, and the welcome basket of local produce was a nice bonus. The accommodation had all the amenities and suited our family of four well.
