I had a lovely night's sleep, and breakfast was cooked perfectly. The couple who run this B&B are lovely. Still, a Travelodge would be cheaper and cleaner. The outside needs a lot of maintenance to make a better first impression, and things don't improve much once you go inside. It’s now one house, about half the size shown in the Google picture, rather than the big hotel it used to be. The rooms could do with a deep clean, though at least the bed sheets were clean.

Everything in the room was spot on, including your own fridge, and breakfast was lovely. It was clean and tidy, and the couple were so helpful and lovely. I can't believe the hotel is rated 2 star; it should be 3 or 4. I'd definitely stay again when I'm in town.

There’s a free car park, and the hotel sits opposite a beautiful old historical park. The showers are modern and clean, with a phone and TV in the room, and plenty of drinks and snacks on offer too. The couple running this brilliant, comfortable hotel are the nicest people I’ve ever met. They’re knowledgeable about the area and further afield, and great to have a proper conversation with.

The food was fab, and that was the hottest breakfast I’ve ever had. The owners were really friendly and accommodating, which helped make it an enjoyable stay with a lovely couple. Room 4 is on the small side and very dated, though, and could do with a serious uplift.

Good value, with helpful, friendly owners and a fantastic refurbished bathroom and shower. It’s a great location, just seconds from the huge park. I’m a light sleeper, though, so I did need earplugs.
