Heath Gardens

John and Ros made us feel very welcome. We found big homemade cakes in our room, each topped with thick icing and a cherry. The beds were very comfortable, and all three of us slept well. It’s a traditional, cottage-like B&B, right down to the large window, wide windowsill, lovely curtains and slightly uneven floorboards that gave the bedroom a real cottage feel. The en suite shower room was very clean and high standard. It had one bath sheet, two bath towels, three small hand towels, three flannel washcloths, two shower caps, three pairs of body wash and shampoo with conditioner bottles, and two small hand soaps. Breakfast was a full English, with cereals, yogurts, fruit, orange juice, tea or coffee, and toast. They even provided vegetarian sausages for my dietary preferences.

A quiet, nice B&B where it feels a bit like being a guest in a relative’s home, which is no bad thing. Free parking and Wi-Fi, and everything you need is provided. The breakfast was good and set me up for the morning. Nice.
