Leonardo Hotel Exeter

The room looked nice and modern, but I did find dirt on the sheets and a hair in one of the beds, which was disappointing. Staff were friendly and kept my bags for me while I went out. The hotel is modern and well located, with a large parking lot right across the road; the front desk can validate parking for a discount. There's a bar, restaurant and breakfast for a fee, but I didn't try any of them, so can't comment. There are other places to eat nearby. Despite the cleanliness issue, I'd stay here again.

The location is great for town, and the car park is just a short walk away. I slept really well in the comfortable bed, in a clean, pleasant room. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival, and the restaurant team were brilliant, doing everything they could to help. The food was very good, and breakfast had plenty of choice. I'd highly recommend the hotel and stay again.

Staff seemed friendly enough, and the online check-in was easy. The hotel looks clean and modern, but our room was clean and very small. The bed wasn't as comfortable as the marketing made it sound. Prices in the onsite restaurant were eye-wateringly high: £6.50 for a 440ml can of Guinness, and nearly £20 for a tiny Caesar salad, with chicken costing extra. I don't think we'll be back.

It's a busy spot, which is what you'd expect in the city centre, and the hotel was generally fine. At first the room seemed tidy and well cleaned, but then I spotted blood stains beside the bed and low down on the curtains and wall. That's unacceptable. They changed our room without any trouble, but it was a massive shame since cleanliness matters so much. The staff were all lovely.
