Modern Student-Only Ensuite Rooms by Exeter High Street

I wouldn't recommend living here at all. On moving in, I found the oven, microwave, hob, kettle and one of the fridge-freezers weren't working, so the kitchen couldn't be used properly. The room and bathroom were so dirty they looked like they hadn't been cleaned. The toilet plumbing was faulty and made a constant loud noise that kept me awake. They took over a week to fix the bathroom, and only did it after I threatened to leave. I lost my key card in October and waited three weeks for a replacement. Until then, I had to call security whenever I needed to get into the building, with one wait reaching 45 minutes. I lost my sanity here.

Hi, my son lives in this accommodation, and our experience has been really bad. They took the full payment in advance, but when he arrived the mattress was damaged and it took eight days to replace it. Then his toilet got blocked, and by the third day there still hadn't been a fix. He's spent the last two nights in a hotel. We strongly don't recommend this place for students. It's really pathetic.

I loved staying here, though it took me a while to get used to not having fresh linen supplied every day.

I toured the accommodation last year and was shown a flat where damp ran along the bottom of the main corridor wall. That's not what you'd expect to see on a visit when you're considering booking a room. It made the building seem like a poor choice for student accommodation.
