Orchid at Sunsets and Marshmallows

The safari tent felt like a home away from home, with super-comfy beds and a cosy feel. It got cold at night, so the hot water bottles were a welcome extra. My boys loved the hot tub, and Chris topped it up each day. Fresh flowers and all the other little details made us feel very welcome, and the bacon was delicious too. We needed a family break, and sunset and marshmallows really delivered. I can’t fault the stay and hope to return. Thank you, Nicola and Chris.

The hot tub overlooking the countryside, firepit and gas BBQ were all ready to use, and the giant marshmallow fork was a fun touch. Inside, the fairy lights looked lovely, the kitchen was so well equipped I didn’t mind cooking, and there was plenty of seating for meals or relaxing. Our family of five and two dogs stayed Monday to Friday. The safari tent was spacious, with a great layout, comfortable beds, a good-sized bathroom and bedrooms. I had a favourite spot in the swinging nest chair on the veranda, where I finally got to sit and read after years of not doing so. Even practical details like USB ports and a washing line were covered. Everything was spotless and comfortable, and we’ve already booked a week in August. For cooler weather, pack warm clothes and extra blankets, though hot water bottles are provided. Thanks, Nicola and Chris, you’ve got it spot on!

With just three pitches, the place felt private. Each tent has a big garden of its own, plus shared areas that came in handy when walking our dog. We spent lots of time outside using the hot tub and fire pit, especially in the peaceful countryside setting. The tent was spacious and modern, with lovely decor, comfortable beds, and plenty of places to sit across the living area, kitchen, lounge and veranda. Nicola and Chris were lovely hosts, and the welcome food and drink were thoughtfully tailored to our tastes. Our first glamping trip was a wow. Sunsets and Marshmallows has set the bar incredibly high, and I can’t recommend it enough.

Chris and Nicola welcomed us warmly and gave us a helpful introduction. We spent three lovely nights in a safari tent at Sunset and Marshmallows. There was everything we needed inside, and having our own outdoor area gave us a nice bit of privacy. The kids and adults both loved the hot tub, and our dogs had loads of space to enjoy. This was glamping at its best, and I’d absolutely recommend it.
