The hostess was lovely. The room was small but welcoming, and for the price it was just right for a night out. It’s close to the Wetherspoons, nightclubs and train station. The one niggle was the bathroom door: from the bed, you can see into the bathroom. Apart from that, 5/5!

The Oakcliffe is an excellent choice if you don’t need an elevator. It’s a short walk from the train station, uphill but not too bad, and getting back to the station is very easy. The Cathedral and Quayside are also easy to reach on foot. We got a warm welcome and had a clean room with an en suite. Breakfast was very good, and there was a friendly social atmosphere.

The bed was comfy, and the location worked well. Good value too, so I’d happily stay again.

A reasonably priced hotel in a convenient spot, with a cosy feel and really friendly staff. Just be aware the walls are thin, so noise from other guests can carry if you’re a light sleeper.

Breakfast was included in the rate, which made it good value, and the gluten-free options were excellent. The hoteliers, Lorraine and Hubby, were so understanding and supportive. The place was clean, felt secure, and the room was friendly and comfortable. Shops and st davids train station are nearby too. It was the best hotel stay I’ve had, even after hundreds of hotel trips. Lorraine and hubby, I hope you enjoy the wine I brought for your celebration this weekend, and Lorraine, I hope you like the flowers.
