Sea Spray

I was there for one night on my own for business, so this is just a review of that stay. I was disappointed. The room was comfortable and clean, but noisy because of Coop deliveries, and the service from the lady was poor, to put it kindly. I asked for a bowl of cornflakes in my room because I had a 4am start, and she flatly refused on “health and safety” grounds, even though I was bringing my own milk. That simple request turned into a long lecture about staff and kitchen access. She could have poured a bowl and covered it with cling film in the time she spent berating me. That’s what every other B+B I stay in, five times a week, would do. Luckily the Coop is across the road, so I stocked up and had a lovely smoked haddock in my room the next morning instead. Not accommodating when it came to a simple need.

We were only passing through for a night with friends, but we’ll definitely return. The rooms were lovely, spacious and spotless, and the breakfast was excellent. Service was very friendly too, and the location is great.

We stayed here during our Scottish road trip, and the location for Eyemouth couldn’t be beat. The Co op is across the road, the Tavern is a minute away with excellent food, and the ocean view gets 10/10. We were in room 9, and waking up to the sound of the ocean through the window was amazing. We stayed in the comfy bed longer just to enjoy the view. The shower was great too, big, hot and with good pressure. Jade was accommodating throughout the stay and at breakfast. Her eggs, bacon and beans were next level. She also suggested some excellent local places to stop on our drive, and showed us great photos of the northern lights when they’ve appeared in Eyemouth. Thanks to Jade and the team. If we’re back in the area, we’ll stay here again. Highly recommend it if you’re nearby.

The room was comfortable, the owner very friendly and helpful, and breakfast delicious. Waking up to a sea view was lovely. We’ll be back!
