We went for a meal to celebrate my 60th, but the place has gone downhill. The person serving us seemed to be some kind of manager and should have left the serving to the staff. He passed food over people, even handing it to my partner to dish out, and put the drinks down as quickly as he could, thumping them onto the table. I wasn't impressed. One person in our party only ate half his burger because he said it was tasteless and more like something from a burger van. My partner paid £140 for six of us, and we didn't feel it was value for money. We won't be back.

We celebrated our 60th wedding anniversary here on a Sunday with 50 guests. Everyone had lovely things to say about the meal, and the staff were friendly and attentive throughout. The food and service were really excellent, and the team went out of their way to make the day special. We can truly recommend Park Hotel Falkirk.

The food is such good value, and yes, we'll be back. We had another very good stay at The Park: a lovely, warm room with everything we needed. Reception, housekeeping and restaurant staff were all so friendly and helpful. And we love Charlie!!

The one bright spot was the receptionist. She was fantastic, friendly and very helpful, and arranged an early check-in. That’s the reason I didn’t give the stay one star. The room itself had a damaged, fraying bed, flat flimsy pillows with no spares, poor lighting and a chilly feel with no way I could find to warm it. There were only three TV channels. The walls were thin enough that I could hear the next-door guest snoring as if we were sharing a bed. The bath plug wouldn’t come out after I’d had a bath, and the breakfast was salty and unappetising. There were holes and rawl plugs in the wall around the window. I could go on. Well done to that receptionist, you’re doing a great job 😊

Dinner was very good and great value, and the room prices are competitive locally with breakfast included. Our double room had enough space, too. The staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. A couple of things would make the room more practical: plumper pillows, towel hooks to keep towels off the floor after a shower, and some shelf space in the shower room for toiletries. I’d recommend it.
