Anchorage Apartments 3

The place feels damp, gloomy and overdue for an update. There were no coat hangers in the wardrobe, and air fresheners that spray kept trying to cover the smell, so I had to open all the windows. The ripped woodchip wallpaper by the entrance didn’t help. At night we could hear people walking around upstairs, and even snoring. I hate to complain, especially when there’s a stunning four-star B&B down the road for the same price, but next time I’ll go there. Sorry, this just wasn’t worth the money.

The views were excellent, and the bedding was clean and crisp with lovely fluffy towels. But as soon as we entered, there was an overpowering damp smell in the property and apartment. The odor lingered, so we had to leave the windows open.

Both bedrooms had leaks, and the apartment was dirty. The owners knew about the leaks but didn’t tell us, and there was no offer of a refund. Very dishonest, and such a shame, since the previous owners were definitely five-star. We were really disappointed and won’t be coming back.

Fantastic views from these great apartments, and the hosts are very friendly. Looking forward to bringing our new puppy to falmouth next year.
