Budock Vean Hotel

The location is absolutely beautiful, and the staff were so helpful and friendly. We had a lovely spa day with lunch for my daughter's hen party. The food was lovely too. I'd definitely recommend it and will be coming back!

I stayed at Budock vean hotel with my daughter and two grandchildren. The Signature suite was lovely and had two rooms. We enjoyed the outdoor Jacuzzi and had fun in the indoor pool. Such a beautiful hotel, with pleasant staff and a great pick of options.

The sauna wasn't very hot, the changing room felt cramped and the showers only worked on and off. I paid £48 for myself and three small children to use the pool, sauna and hot tub for my son's birthday. Compared with previous visits, that's quite a steep price increase, especially since the facilities haven't improved. The worst part was the spa receptionist's rudeness. When we went to take the complimentary herbal tea, she shouted across the room, “you cant have one of those they are for paying spa visitors.” I explained that we'd paid to use the spa, but she said, “You didn't pay for a treatment only swimming, so they’re not for you.” We found the exchange unnecessary and quite rude. A disappointing visit. :(

My only gripe was the shampoo and conditioner. They smell lovely and minty, but dried out both my hair and my colleague's. I used loads of conditioner and my hair still felt dry by the end of the shower. The shower itself was lovely. The rooms and location were lovely too, the bed and pillows very comfortable, and all three meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner, were tasty and freshly prepared.
