The Westcott

We didn't want to leave after our four nights at The Westcott, and wished we could have stayed longer. Room 7 was spacious, with a lovely ensuite bathroom, a spotless room and a great sea view. The bed was super comfy, and clean towels were available daily if needed. There were tea and coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast was 10/10 every morning, including a veggie one for me. Gyllyngvase beach is a two-minute walk away, and Falmouth town and harbour are about ten minutes away. Andy and Mark keep the B&B beautifully. Thank you so much to our hosts. Can't wait to visit Cornwall again.

The seagulls outside our window were very loud, calling to each other at around 5.30am. Earplugs were provided and necessary, though this was outside our hosts' control. Apart from that small inconvenience, the hotel is in an excellent spot, about a seven-minute walk from Falmouth town centre, with its restaurants, bars and shops. Room 7 was enormous, almost like a small apartment, with separate spaces to lounge, sleep, change and wash. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent. It's a charming, refreshing place to stay, with interior art that reflects the beautiful surroundings and lovely attention to detail. I'd happily book The Westcott again if I came back to Falmouth.

The owners were lovely and welcoming, and everything was nice and clean. We had a comfortable bed, extra blankets, a shower room, and a kettle with the usual bits. The heart-shaped sweets left on the pillow were a cute touch. Breakfast was tasty and hot. It's a very nice little B&B with pretty sea views, perfect for a weekend away or something similar. I'd absolutely recommend it.

We had the same large English breakfast all four days, and I found it very tasty. There's no queue for a coffee machine here, you ask and they bring it. The Westcott is a fairly large family house converted into a B&B in a quiet residential area with lots of similar places. We were a couple in a standard-sized room, with our adult son in a loft room with sloping walls. Everything was normal, nothing fancy, but nothing was missing. The hosts were very friendly, and the other guests were quiet older people, 50+. Parking is tight, so we used a side street less than 100 metres away.
