Trecombe Lakes

The pods are comfortable living spaces, well equipped and with good facilities. Their shape makes good use of the space, with plenty of headroom and room to move around. They stayed warm enough even though it was fairly cold outside. The site is in a quiet spot reached by narrow lanes, with wonderfully dark skies at night. There was a mobile signal, but only 2G, so it felt like a place to get away from modern communications and the pace of life. Youngsters in other pods were enjoying the play areas and facilities.

We first came here several years ago, staying in the pods when our two boys were little. Now they're bigger, we've been using the lodge, which is great. The Swedish Bath is fantastic, and you're right in the middle of the woods. You wake to birdsong, with moorhens on the lake out front. There's a telly too, which is nice in the evening if the weather isn't so good.

It's such a tranquil place to stay, and the pods are clean with everything you need for glamping. Much easier than having to set up a tent! The kids enjoyed the play area and a lodge kept them busy during the days we stayed on site. The lakes were great fun too. We did a little boating, with everything supplied, which was a nice change from being charged for every activity when you're away. After dinner from the BBQ, it was lovely to relax by a fire. I'd recommend this place to anyone. Thank you for creating such a great place to stay.

The pod was so cosy, and the whole site was spotless. The owners were really friendly, too. I was away for work and slept better than I ever have, thanks to how peaceful it was. I’d happily recommend it and will definitely come back. Thanks again, and hope to see you soon. I’d give it more than five stars.
