Falmouth Marina Apartment

The welcome hamper was lovely, with treats and cold drinks, plus milk and water in the fridge when we arrived. Annie and Eric were warm, accommodating hosts who responded so well to our requests. Everything was spotless, and their place really is a hidden gem. The town and plenty of places to see, eat and drink are close by. I’d happily recommend it and come back. Thank you!

The location was superb, an easy 10-15 minute walk along the marina into town, with pubs and restaurants on the way and great views. We spent four nights at the Falmouth Marina Apartment over the May Bank Holiday and had a fantastic holiday. The apartment was immaculate, quiet and private, with everything we needed. Annie and Eric respected our privacy, even using their front balcony instead of the back garden while we were there. They were always available and gave us good dinner tips. The little extras were lovely: a Nespresso machine and pods, a basket of goodies and a bottle of fizz on ice. The bed was very comfortable, and despite our back problems we slept really well. I’d highly recommend it.

The studio was so comfortable and well equipped that we didn’t miss the hotel room service we’d originally wanted for a lazy four-day break in Cornwall. Because of the pandemic and restrictions, hotels weren’t taking leisure bookings, only work bookings, and I was disappointed at first. But this apartment exceeded our expectations. The website description doesn’t do it justice: it’s modern, spacious, beautifully clean and smelled amazing. I even photographed the air freshener and bought the same one for home. There were soft towels, lovely dressing gowns, toiletries, and a very comfortable bed with luxurious bedding. The hosts showed us how to use the TV and gave us access to their Netflix. They’d thought of useful touches too, including a patio heater and blankets by the door for cold evenings, plus an umbrella for rain. The welcome basket had scones, clotted cream, jam, biscuits, chocolates and fruit, and there was a bottle of prosecco on ice after our long journey. Nespresso coffee, tea, milk, mineral water and sugar were provided as well. Annie and Eric were warm, welcoming and informative, and sent restaurant, bar and attraction tips within minutes of me asking. The town centre was a short walk away, with the marina, beautiful beaches and friendly people nearby. Free on-road parking right outside was very convenient. We didn’t need to knock for anything because everything was there. I’m sure we’ll return to Falmouth and become regular visitors, and we won’t even consider a hotel now. I can’t think of a single negative. It was just perfect.

The bed was top notch, and we’re fussy about beds. The pillows were great too. The apartment felt new, was very clean, and had a good rainfall shower. It’s quiet and private. We were greeted warmly with a beautifully presented basket, milk and cold water in the fridge, and a chilled bottle of fizz. Thoroughly recommend it.
