Holiday Inn Farnborough by IHG

The old brick building has a nice modern interior, and the location is great. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the WiFi was fast enough for video calls and work. Parking was free for guests and people using the facilities. Rosie was especially helpful while I worked there for a day. Thanks!

I sometimes come here to work for a change of scenery, and the Starbucks coffee is a nice extra. The cocktails are great too. I went for Sunday lunch and was impressed: lovely food, polite, attentive staff and generous portions. The sharing platter for two was plenty for both of us, and they brought lots of gravy without us having to ask for more. If you’ve got room, the sticky toffee pudding is a lovely way to finish. I’d recommend lunch here. The hotel has had a fantastic refit and looks lovely. The bedrooms have all been upgraded, and there’s a new bar area plus lots of redecorated, upgraded function rooms. The terrace has been completely transformed, and I can’t wait to sit there this summer. If you haven’t visited before, or it’s been a while, I’d say it’s worth a trip or you’ll miss what the place has to offer.

Rosie and Szilvia were wonderfully helpful and caring, and I felt very well looked after. The hotel is in a perfect spot for the airport or the big exbo centre. My room was large and clean, but the temperature control wasn’t cooperating. The walls were very thin too. I could hear everything from the room above, even footsteps and coughing, and was woken early in the morning or while trying to fall asleep.

I spent two nights here while delivering first aid training to the staff, and it was a pleasure. Richard and his team are a credit to the company. Everyone was friendly and professional, my room was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the food was excellent. I had the mushroom risotto with chicken. The recent refurbishment has given the hotel a fresh, stylish, modern look. Excellent stay all round, and I’d highly recommend it. Thanks HI Farnborough!
