HQ Aparthotel Farnborough

The main change since my previous visits is the parking. It used to be free when Saco operated the apartment block, but now it costs £7.50 per day, or more realistically, overnight. I stayed one night on business recently and had no hesitation booking, as I used the block regularly in 2022. My Club Apartment was well appointed and spotlessly clean, as I’ve come to expect. The front-of-house staff were, as always, a delight to deal and talk with.

The apartment was spotless and had everything we needed, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. The only small issue was the bathroom lighting, which could be better for shaving and putting on makeup. We mentioned it to the receptionist, who noted it. I’d definitely recommend the place and use it again.

The staff were lovely, very polite and helpful. At first, the place seemed like a solid 3-star hotel, but after one night I noticed how tatty things were. Everything I looked at seemed cracked, stained, wobbly or dirty and needed repair, replacement or cleaning. I’d say 2-star would be more appropriate, as there was nothing 4-star about it. There was no WiFi during my stay, and the room seemed to be in a signal dead spot. I couldn’t work or take meetings there. That wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but it didn’t help.

The reception staff were very pleasant and helpful. The apartment was spacious, modern and well equipped, in a handy spot for the Motorways and attractions like Farnborough. Road noise was noticeable now and then, but only from over zealous motorists. Excellent value for money, and I’d highly recommend it.
