Bay Tree Cottage

The front bedroom looks out over lovely fields, and the location worked perfectly for us. We stayed with my bridal party the night before my wedding, then my husband and I stayed on our wedding night. The kitchen and living room gave the makeup artist and hairdresser a good space to get us ready. Each bedroom also had its own en suite, which was handy with six of us getting ready.

The living area was spotless and the beds were comfortable. The place is attached to other accommodation, and while there are separate seating areas, the outdoor space is shared. That wasn't clear in the advert. The car park can fill up when cooking nights are happening, and we didn't find the hosts' hospitality outstanding.

The beds were comfortable and the place was well furnished, but the walls were painfully thin and we could hear the neighbours. A small carton of milk would've been a nice touch. Some of the MDF skirting boards in the bathrooms are starting to give way.

We were met by the host when we arrived, and the scenery was lovely, with villages not too far away. The cosy room suited a short stay well. For longer than a week, I'd probably want to upgrade to a bigger cottage. We'd stay again.
