Plough and Harrow

The food was freshly cooked and really good. Everything was clean and tidy, and the whole place felt very friendly, right down to Paddy the dog. Sue is lovely, and I’d recommend staying here if you’re after some peace and quiet.

Breakfast had plenty to choose from, including cooked English or Welsh options, omelettes, cold meats and cheeses, and fruit. Dinner was good too, with vegan and GF dishes available. Downstairs has the feel of a traditional country pub, while the rooms are spotless, with comfortable beds and high-standard ensuite bathrooms. It’s a very quiet spot in the heart of Brecon Beacons. You get the comfort and cleanliness of a 4-star hotel with the coziness of a B&B. We had an amazing stay, thanks to Sue for hosting us!

The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, and some of the food was homemade and all of it was great. Sue, the owner and host, made us feel welcome with her warm, caring manner. She was happy to help with anything. We had a great stay and will definitely come back when we’re in the area.

Sue runs this lovely pub single-handedly, which is pretty impressive. The setting is beautiful and the cooked food was delicious. It’s cosy, friendly, and Paddy the very polite pub dog is great company. A pub just as it should be. We’ll definitely come again.
