Isallt Guest House

Richard made this stay memorable. He let me wait at the house while our car was being sorted at a local garage, then let us leave it in the car park until my wife returned from her Ffestiniog railway trip. The people around here were some of the nicest I've met, and without them I wouldn't have enjoyed my time out nearly as much. Thanks, Richard. We hope to visit again. The room was lovely, and the bed was more comfortable than any I'd slept in for ages, even compared with home. The packed lunch/breakfast was very good. There isn't a cafe on site, though there are several good ones nearby. The description mentions a coffee house, but having coffee supplies in the room and downstairs didn't feel like a coffee house to me. The shower room was a bit of a challenge for me as a large man, since space was limited.

Our car broke down, so we arrived at Isallt Guest House at the last minute. The owners were lovely, and the B&B was a real relief. The rooms had everything we needed and were spotless. Since the car was being repaired remotely, the owner even drove us to the garage, which was incredibly kind. We got walking routes and a simple, excellent breakfast. You could also order lunch the day before for a very affordable price. My friend has a gluten allergy, so we were really pleased to hear that gluten-free options might be available. We highly recommend Isallt Guest House.

Isallt Guest House is a lovely place, with free parking, warm, clean rooms and friendly, helpful staff. Richard is very welcoming and knows a lot about the area. I also liked that he offers a packed lunch to take out instead of the old-style breakfast, which many people don't like. The train station is just beyond the bottom of the garden. Ffestininog is a very nice town with plenty to do, so it's hard to believe its shops have closed down. A big thank you to Richard from Graham and Valerie.

We had room 1, which was a great size, spotlessly clean, with a lovely comfortable bed. It's a fabulous guest house, and the host was friendly and knew the area well. I'd definitely recommend it.
