The river outside is lovely to hear, and the bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. John makes sure you have everything ready, so you can relax as soon as you arrive. We had another perfect weekend in this fabulous little cottage, with a great location for walks and exploring nearby. The slate mine is worth a visit too, for a sense of the history and the families who lived in these houses. Can’t wait to come back!

There’s an open fire that makes this welcoming, well cared for cottage especially cosy. They’ve thought of everything, from coffee machines and a great range of coffees and flavoured syrups to even an Xbox. One of the best places I’ve stayed. Thanks for making our holiday so lovely.

John kept in touch throughout, and the cottage had everything we needed. After long walks, it was lovely to warm up by the log burner and listen to the river flowing right outside. Fantastic views, great walks, and plenty to see and do. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it. We’ll definitely book again. Thanks, Kerry, Bob and Buddy.

The owners added lots of lovely little touches, and everything was catered for. Such a beautiful place, we had an amazing stay and a wonderful weekend. Massive thanks to them.

For our first trip to Wales, this was a great base for outdoor walks. It’s quiet, but amenities are easy to reach, and the property suited all our needs. The wood burning stove was perfect for our early November visit. If you want a getaway a little out of season, this is the place. You’re centrally located for Snowdon, Caernarfon, Porthmadog and plenty of smaller villages. Our host was great too.
