The White Swan

The location worked really well for us, and parking was easy. We stayed overnight on a hot bank holiday weekend, and the room had been aired out, so it was cool and comfortable. Lisa, the bar lady, gave us a lovely welcome, and all the staff were great. The food and wine were delicious. It’s an old building with its quirks, and yes, there are stairs, but they’re nothing compared with the coastal access paths. Would definitely stay again.

The combo was lovely, and the food and drink were amazing, with generous portions. The staff were polite, friendly, and really good, though I didn’t catch one person’s name. It’s a lovely pub, and I’d recommend a visit. I live too far away to make it my local, unfortunately.

We first came in for food on Wednesday with a friend and the kids, and it was amazing. We went back on Saturday for drinks and takeaway. The belly pork was the best, and the pizzas and wings were amazing too. The bar staff were really friendly. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re up here.

The carvery veg was amazing, the meads were incredible, and the service was relaxed but attentive. The chef serving the carvery was especially lovely and helpful. We were a group of seven, and everyone had a fabulous time in this charming pub. The welcome was warm, the locals were lovely, and nothing was too much trouble. They even sang happy birthday in the evening. The lunch was incredible, though I reckon it’ll be several days before I need to eat again. Perfect. Tip: don’t have much breakfast if you’ve booked Sunday lunch.
