Valentino's

We enjoyed sitting out on the little roof terrace with tea or a glass of wine. The room itself was spotless and very comfortable, and both the breakfasts and the two dinners we had at the restaurant were delicious. Lynn, the owner, was lovely and really went the extra mile. Highly recommend.

The tomato and garlic pizza was scrumptious, especially the wonderful base, and I wasn't ill myself. The risottos, though, were soggy, and the meat seemed questionable. My fiancé said it smelled as if it had been left out for a week, and three people in our group were ill that night. We didn't raise it at the time because the staff were kind. When olives were missing from one pizza, the chef apologised and brought a big bowl of them, which made my father very happy. We came with family while on holiday. I wouldn't go back for a while, but I heard the restaurant has only recently been taken over and hope the food quality and prices will settle out eventually.

The food was freshly cooked and delicious, and we'll be back. We were staying at the Bay, just a two-minute drive away. Because of covid, it was collection or delivery only. Either way, you have to phone between 14:00 and 16:00 on the day to get food after 17:00.

The rooms were spotless and felt just like home. Lynne and dave were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us, and Lynne really looked after us at breakfast, which was delicious. We stayed at Valentino's for a weekend and would definitely go back. 100%. Kelly and ben
