Wrangham House Hotel

The couple who run the place were the best part of my stay. They were charming, witty, funny, accommodating, and helpful from the moment we met. I was there just one night for work and honestly wish I could’ve stayed longer. The building is gorgeous and picturesque, full of character, with thoughtful touches that make it feel warm and comfortable. The rooms have lovely decor that suits the heritage of the house while still having modern conveniences. I liked the Yorkshire tea in the rooms, and breakfast came with real tea leaves. The menu was delicious too, especially the smoked salmon and perfectly scrambled eggs I had.

I had my divorce party here, and Stacie made sure the evening went smoothly. Chess was fantastic with the cocktails, and Peter’s food was out of this world. The champagne was amazing, and everyone commented on the fabulous bedrooms and the breakfast the next morning. All the staff were friendly and helpful. It’s a real hidden gem. I was having such a good time that I didn’t take enough photos of the food, but it was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel.

The village is lovely, with two pubs, a few shops, a pretty church, and scenic walks. It’s a great spot for visiting the East Coast of Yorkshire, and we’d definitely stay again. We stayed recently in Room1. It was extremely clean, with a large, comfortable bed and lots of pillows. The garden is well kept and a lovely place to sit with a glass of wine and watch the wildlife. Peter and Stacie were wonderful, friendly, hospitable hosts, and the young breakfast waitresses were polite and attentive. We had dinner and breakfast, and both were excellent.

The house and gardens are beautiful, and my room was clean and well appointed. I really enjoyed my few days here. Stacey and Peter were so welcoming, and the breakfasts were plentiful and very well cooked. I’d recommend staying if you’re after somewhere relaxing and laid back.
