Carol made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived, showed us around, and suggested things to do. The Two Hoots pods were peaceful, and local walks like Moel Famau were about a 20-minute drive away. We loved the hot tub; it takes around 30-45 minutes to heat because it’s wood-fired, but stays warm for ages. My boyfriend and I had a fantastic three-night stay. We’d definitely recommend these cabins and come back.

The owners helped us find the cabin, greeted us when we arrived, and said goodbye when we left. We were there in May for our third anniversary, and it made for a lovely getaway, with decent WiFi, plenty of room, and lots of cooking supplies. If you plan to use the hot tub often, bring extra kiln-dried logs for the season. Talacre beach is the closest beach and well worth a visit, while The Celtic Arms is only five minutes from the pod and serves lovely food and drinks. It’s also a good base for heading further into Wales or visiting Chester.

Carol was so warm and welcoming from the moment we got there, and the countryside trails nearby were lovely for quiet walks. The pod was spotless, cosy, and had everything we needed. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay at Two Hoots Pod in Flintshire and are already looking forward to coming back.

The owners were really helpful, and the little cabin was peaceful and lovely. We struggled to figure out the hot tub at first, but once we got it going, it was amazing and piping hot.
