The managers' service was the worst part. I noticed personal belongings missing from our room, raised it with the manager, and he admitted that he and other staff had gone in while we were out. The shared kitchen was filthy, with rubbish and out-of-date food. Our room had thick green mould on the walls, hidden behind beds and wardrobes, and the walls were so thin I could hear the couple next door arguing the whole time as if they were in my room. A truly disgusting place. Avoid it for your own sanity.

The room was small and basic, but clean. The shower was excellent, the bed fairly comfortable, and the staff agreeable. There was parking in the driveway, and the beach was close by. West Cliff Pavilion was an easy short walk away. Still, £65 without breakfast feels too expensive, so I wouldn't stay again.

The manager and housekeeper were really polite and friendly, and did their best to help with anything we needed. The beds were clean and very comfortable, and the guesthouse was lovely and quiet. The owner was rude, though, and the place could use a facelift. It's a shame the lounge wasn't in use. The kitchen had basic supplies. Three stars for the manager and housekeeper.

I paid £125 for one night in August, and the room was very basic for that price, especially with no breakfast. Room 18, up on the second floor, wasn't the one shown in the pictures. It had a double bed, a table with tea and coffee but no milk cartons, a TV, a skylight, and a toilet and shower. The shower was fixed on hot, so I couldn't use it. I wasn't expecting The Ritz, but I'd look at other places before booking here again.

The beach is within walking distance, and it's nice to have breakfast there. We rented four rooms, each with a nice window, plenty of plugs, a closet, a small TV, and a set in the room, as shown in the picture. The rooms have enough space for a family of four, and the staff are really, really nice.
