OYO Mountain Park Hotel

We had a very good lunch and evening meal, and breakfast was great value. They even arranged an early breakfast since we had to get on the road at 7.30am. Service was 10 out of 10, the meeting room was great, and there were plenty of parking spaces and very good EV chargers.

We stopped in while driving past to charge our car and found the bar by chance when we went into reception. The young waitress was so helpful and lovely, and we all liked her smile. The food was a real surprise, genuinely delicious compared with the other places we ate on our trip. Highly recommend.

The party venue was lovely, the drinks were reasonably priced, and the buffet food was lovely. We skipped the restaurant and breakfast. We’d stayed because we were attending an old friend’s party and live over an hour away. Check-in was simple, and everyone we met on staff was lovely and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the room stayed at a good temperature, though it was basic and only mostly clean. The chair and fan needed a proper clean, and the bathroom was disappointing, with a tiny sink built into the toilet and no mirror. For what we paid, it was worth it, but a fresh coat of paint and a thorough clean would have made it excellent.

Taking the whole family out for Christmas Day dinner for the first time was such a lovely celebration. The atmosphere was warm, the food was amazing, and the service couldn’t be faulted. Thanks to everyone who made it special. We’ll definitely be back!
