The staff were really friendly and helpful, and both the full English breakfast and steak and ale pie were delicious. It was excellent value for money. I'd definitely stay again!

We went for an evening meal as a family of seven and had a lovely time. There were lots of good classic dishes to choose from. I had the Beef bourguignon, three others chose fish and chips, and the Sea Bass on risotto was great. The sons loved their burger and seafood platter. Desserts were lovely too. Good food, staff and surroundings. Recommend 💯

We had two evening meals here with a group. There was an extensive choice, and the food was excellent and served in generous portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the service was good.

We haven't stayed overnight, but have been for Sunday lunch and dinner. It's a traditional country pub and hotel, and the food lived up to the promise of home cooking. The roast was fabulous and good value, in spotlessly clean surroundings. On another visit, we tried the pie made on the premises, a perfect slice of steak and ale. The apple and toffee tart brought a big smile with every bite. It's off the beaten track, but well worth visiting.

We stopped in with eight people, looking for a pub where we could have a nice meal and bring a friend who uses a wheelchair. The woman behind the bar was phenomenal and went above and beyond to make it a great time. The food was piping hot, fresh and really tasty. We'd recommend it 100%. Thanks for the hospitality, and we love the dancing Christmas Decs!
