Forest House

I’ve eaten here many times, including with large groups, and it’s never let me down. The restaurant was full last evening, but the prices are still very reasonable and there’s a good wine selection. I took my granddaughter for a meal, and the food was beautifully presented, cooked, and seasoned. The staff and owners were so friendly, which made for a lovely atmosphere.

Coleford centre is only about a five-minute walk away, with plenty of pubs and a decent choice of shops. The rooms are a good size and spotless, and the food at Andersen's restaurant is excellent. Service feels personal and very friendly, and they make you feel welcome. The car park is small, perhaps enough for 5-6 cars, but I’ve always found a space during my several stays. Very highly recommended, especially for the sensible prices.

The owners were welcoming and attentive, and the dining room looked lovely, right down to the ironed tablecloths, napkins, and cutlery. I had afternoon tea, and it was a beautiful spread, all freshly baked and superb quality. I’ll try the A la Carte menu next time. Definitely recommend!

Barbara helped us organise a lovely bouquet from Forget me not florists for our 37nd wedding anniversary. All six of us enjoyed the meal, and the comfortable seating, surroundings, and decor made it a lovely occasion. The staff were friendly and helpful. We’d recommend it and will be back.
