The staff were cheerful, breakfast was ample, and the bar prices were very good, which may explain why we don’t remember much else. We stayed over on New Year’s Eve, and the old historic hotel made a unique place to stop for the celebration. It’s just around the corner from the venue, an ideal walk. Our room was massive, with a four poster bed.

The staff were welcoming, and the price was reasonable. Breakfast set us up well for the day, and we loved the cosy, well-heated bedroom, decorated in a way that suited the age of the building.

Right in the middle of Coleford, the hotel has an old world charm. Our spacious, comfy room had a four poster bed. Breakfast was freshly cooked and good, and the bar is a good size with well-kept beer.

A quirky hotel with lots of interesting features. There’s a pool table by the bar, and the Christmas lights out front made for a lovely festive view. It was fun, and Santa 🎅🏻 even greeted us just outside.

The room price was good, and breakfast, clean rooms and friendly staff were all positives. I would have liked to know about parking before arriving. It’s off site, though not too far away, and it’s free, which is a plus. Good value overall, and I’d stay again.
