We had a very pleasant, relaxing stay at the Carlton after making an emergency overnight stop on the way home from a winter break. We'd heard our village was snowbound. The staff were welcoming and did their best to make us comfortable. The hotel was clean and tidy, the food was good and reasonably priced, and a very good breakfast was included in the room rate. Thanks to everyone at the Carlton!

We stayed two nights at the Carlton with seven colleagues and all enjoyed it. It was clean and tidy, the beds were comfortable, and the price was excellent value. A free drink voucher and a bag of sweets at check-in were a nice touch. Breakfast was very good too, and we'd happily return.

The old building is nice and right in the centre of Forres. But breakfast had issues, and the shower was out of order, so I had to go downstairs to use another bathroom. The place could do with quite a bit of TLC.

Staff were excellent, and I loved my stay. Breakfast was superb, and for the price it's a great place to stay. It's also easy to drive from here to anywhere in Scotland for a day trip. Thanks for the kind service.

We had a nice stay in an affordable place. The room was clean and comfortable, and tea and cookies were provided. Breakfast was nice, we appreciated the free drink voucher, and the bar had reasonably priced food options.
