The curtains let in a lot of light, so I'd bring an eye mask. We had a private double room with a shared toilet and bathroom, and there was a sink in our room too. The towels and bed linen were clean, and the memory foam mattress was comfortable. Cluny Hill hotel is a simple place and good value for what we paid, though it isn't luxurious. You can see it used to be a public building in details like the British-style carpets and fire doors. Remember to use the check-in link so reception knows when you're arriving. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily recommend it.

It's a peaceful place, with lots of space because the house feels quite empty. The rooms are large, clean, and inexpensive, and the views from the old building are lovely. Getting there means a steep uphill walk from town, though. I'd stay again.

The room was good, especially for the price, and the staff were really helpful. They even let me check in early, which I appreciated a lot. I hope to stay there again when I visit Scotland.

A few days before we were due to arrive, they cancelled our reservation, saying it was because of “maintenance.” It feels like a scam. Don't make the same mistake.
