The food was the highlight for us. I had pan-fried wood pigeon and then venison, both were lovely, and my partner enjoyed the fish pie too. Booking was straightforward, and the staff were friendly and attentive without hovering. We ate here last Friday and plan to return.

The Robin Hood, Pecket Well gave us a wonderful Christmas lunch today, everything was cooked just right. The food was truly fabulous, and the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. We're already making plans to visit again.

We live about 40 minutes away and have been back to this lovely, cosy pub quite a few times since discovering the Robin Hood around four years ago after a walk in Hardcastle Craggs. The food is always so tasty, and the staff are consistently warm and welcoming. It's dog friendly too, so our little whippet always comes along. My elderly dad loves it as well. We brought him yesterday to celebrate his 86th birthday. ❤️ Thanks so much 🙏

We enjoyed the meal, and the service was excellent. We did have to remind the staff that the sea bass special was meant to come with king prawns, though.

It's hard to find somewhere that's open every day and serving food from noon, but the Robin Hood does both, and it's consistently good. The food is very good, there are always specials, and the staff are wonderful. We're lucky to have it as our local. Locals, families, dogs, ramblers and tourists all seem welcome. We're looking forward to seeing the Christmas menu when it comes out. Can't recommend it highly enough.
