The freshly cooked breakfast was lovely, and there’s free parking and Wi-Fi too. The couple who run the place were fantastic, even carrying my case to the room and doing everything they could to make it feel like home. I’d recommend this B&B.

Free parking is a real bonus in the Lakes, and I’m already looking forward to coming back for breakfast. I’ve been visiting the area for 30 years, but this place still felt like a hidden gem. The room had amazing views, and the breakfast was perfect. Chris and Victoria have clearly put a lot of care into the details.

The Hazeldene was a lovely welcome for our Twixmas break in Bowness. We had a spacious room with very comfortable beds, and the freshly cooked breakfast was good quality. Chris and Victoria looked after us so well. It’s right in the centre too, and we’ll definitely return.

The lake view from our spotless, comfortable room was lovely, and the guest house is well placed, with parking. Chris and Vika also gave us useful tips on places to visit in Bowness. After a week of camping and a hotel stay in the Lakes, we spent one night here in September and had a fantastic time. Breakfast was delicious, the best we had all week. The steep access may be difficult for anyone with mobility issues. The pizza from across the road was awesome too.

Parking is a valuable extra in this area, though getting up the hill to the accommodation is a bit of a trek. The place itself is clean, with comfortable beds, and the couple running it make it feel like a home away from home. It’s close to the good spots in Bowness on Windermere. Breakfast was freshly made, tasty, and served with a smile. Great value for money.
