Ann kindly packed breakfast for us when we had to leave early. It was generous, with plenty of choices, and the place itself was cosy and clean. Restaurants and bars were only a short walk away.

We had two wonderful days in this beautiful house and would gladly return when we're nearby. The breakfast was the most spectacular we had during our whole time in Scotland, absolutely delicious. The woman who handed us the keys and served breakfast was so kind and made us feel welcome. Everything felt just right, from the neat, clean, cute rooms to the house's distinctive, original atmosphere. The best B&B we've ever stayed in.

Anne was friendly and helpful, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice extra. Our room was clean, comfortable and well looked after, a pleasant place to unwind after being out. The Gowan Brae is only a short walk from High Street, so shopping and dining were easy to reach. It made for a comfortable stay with convenient access to the attractions I wanted to explore. I'd recommend it.

The bathroom and toilet in our room were super clean, and breakfast was better than at a four star hotel. Ann was kind and gave us useful local information. There are plenty of good seafood restaurants nearby, and it's very close to the West Highland Way terminus. Of the 40 hotels, hostels and B&Bs we stayed at on our Ireland and Scotland trip, this was the best. Highly recommended.

Breakfast turned out to be a highlight each day, with vegetarian and pescatarian choices available. Ann was an excellent host and provided a clean, comfortable room with all the facilities we could want, plus snacks, drinks and recommendations.
