A comfortable bed, and the TV on the wall could be turned around so we could watch while relaxing. The little cabin felt private and peaceful, and we could use the jacuzzi room. Water, porridge and biscuits were provided, a nice surprise even though we didn't use them. There was a fridge and basic kitchen setup, with tea, coffee and sugar too. Check-in and check-out were contactless, with clear instructions by email and booking.com. Morrisons and other shops were a short drive away. I'd recommend it for a quiet getaway.

The bed was uncomfortable, though the bedding and towels seemed clean. The Ben View Pod had a lot of potential, but it wasn't cared for well, which was really disappointing. We paid £275 for one night over the Easter bank holiday weekend, as a birthday treat for my partner, and the place was incredibly dirty. The drawers and kitchen utensils were mouldy, there was dry rice in the microwave and the toilet paper was stained. At that price, I expected the floors to have been vacuumed, but they hadn't. I rarely leave bad reviews, but this stay was about as disappointing as it could be.

The room was spacious and nice, though the kitchen equipment was very basic. After a cold day in the “nice” Scottish rain, the weak shower pressure made it hard to warm up again. Also, be aware there's no restaurant anywhere nearby.

The bath was so relaxing, and the room was a good size, really nice and warm. I had the window open most of the time and still never felt cold. There was plenty nearby for food and pubs, and getting in was easy with good details provided. I booked a wee break for my wife's 40th, asked about checking out later and that was no problem. They also offered to put balloons in the room for her birthday, which was a great touch. Definitely would come back.

Ben View was in a quiet, peaceful location. The room was nice, and the jacuzzi was great at the end of the day.
