We were woken each morning by the bedroom doors banging shut, so soft-close doors would be a welcome fix. Apart from that, it was a lovely hotel: nice rooms, a beautiful view from the restaurant and bar, and amazing staff.

The scenery from the rooms and dining area was breathtaking, and the salmon at dinner was amazing. The menu featured local produce, and the staff were lovely, helpful, and knew the surrounding area well. We spent four nights here recently.

The staff and the view were both amazing. We stayed one night, enjoyed delicious salmon at dinner, and had a great breakfast. I left feeling in love with the place and its staff. Thanks for such a lovely stay. Highly recommended.

The service felt on a par with well-known hotel brands, and the staff gave us a very warm welcome. It was a pleasant stay, and I'd say this is one of the area's best hotels. Would highly recommend it.

The loch view is unmatched by the other hotels in town, and it's only a five-minute drive to the centre. Parking is free on site, though the lot slopes on a hill. The beds were the most comfortable we've found in eight days of travelling around Europe, but the king was really two twins pushed together. The pillows are very soft, so I had to double them up because I prefer firm ones. It was also the only hotel so far with a fan in the room. The bathroom has plenty of room for two, a heated towel rack, and perfect water pressure. Breakfast is included, with a full Scottish option as well as yogurt, cereal, toast, and more. We drink coffee, but it tasted like dirt, so we'd recommend the tea instead. That was the only part of breakfast we didn't enjoy. We paid £324 for two nights, which didn't feel worth it. Without the balcony room, I think the price would have seemed more reasonable. If you smoke, don't pay extra for a balcony like we did, since smoking isn't allowed there. We weren't told at check-in; knowing that, we wouldn't have booked the most expensive room. There's a LARGE fine for smoking outside the designated areas. The pamphlet cites the Scottish Executive No Smoking Policy, though I thought that only applied to hospitals, so I'm not sure how it applies here. There's a smoking patio by the bar with loch views, and a small covered smoking area near the back entrance. All in all, it was a good stay in the highlands.
