Foyers Roost

The food next door at Foyers House was delicious, especially the pie, and there's a wonderful view of the mountains. We stayed one night while walking the Loch 360. Our room was cozy, with a very comfortable bed and all the necessary amenities. The shared bathroom was no problem, everyone kept it very clean. Having a sink in the room was useful for filling bottles and brushing our teeth without going to the shared toilet.

After a long day, this was just the right place to arrive at. It was very quiet, exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the owners were nice. There was a very sweet cat too.

The area is stunning, with beautiful views, but the service was particularly underwhelming. Hospitality means being hospitable and giving guests a reason to recommend you. I asked for ice and was told no because they were low and had to pay for it. I understand that, but at the rate you're charged, surely a paying guest could at least be given a glass of ice. That's not too much to ask, especially since there's no fridge in the room.

Louise was an absolute star when my brother had been pulled out of the loch by the local coast guard. She took us in despite us turning up with two kayaks and lots of soaking wet clothes. Thank you so much for everything. We had our third amazing dinner in a row, after Nevis Bank Inn and Glengarry Castle Hotel, followed by perfect pancakes and bacon for breakfast. Whoever decided food in Scotland is sub-par clearly hasn't had dinner at Louise's.
