The White Hart Inn

I can’t speak to the rooms at The White Hart, but the restaurant and bar are a different story. The food has been fantastic whenever we’ve been, with plenty of locally sourced produce, well prepared and presented, and good value for the price. The staff are friendly and attentive without hovering, and the place is clean, comfortable and decorated in a way that brings out its character. We like dropping in for an unplanned meal. For years we passed it by and remembered how good it had been about 10 years ago. In my opinion, the previous management let it slide over the last 5-7 years. Since the refurbishment and change of ownership, it feels like it’s found its identity again and is back where it belongs. We’ve tried something different each visit and have been impressed every time. I’m really happy for the new team and grateful they’ve brought this local favourite back. Give it a try, I don’t think you’ll leave unhappy. 10 out of 10.

The White Hart felt like our village pub again tonight. We had a lovely meal, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. The food is back to the standard we expect from our village restaurant. If you used to love this place as much as we did, come back and give it another go. Well done to the team.

The place is immaculate, and the staff made us feel welcome and were happy to accommodate us. It’s a beautiful boutique style bar and restaurant, with fantastic cocktails and food. We even spoke with the manager about holding our wedding reception there. They’re also in the process of refurbishing six rooms.

The food was absolutely delicious, and they brought over tap water quickly when we asked, then topped it up without needing a reminder. It’s an attractive pub with nice decor, warm hospitality and friendly service. It’s disabled friendly too. Thoroughly recommend!
