The afternoon tea was some of the best food I’ve ever tasted. I came with my family today, 28/01/2026, to celebrate an 80th birthday, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They made sure we all had a lovely time. ✨

The food was amazing and the service second to none. It’s a beautiful setting and location too. This was my first afternoon tea here, and I’ll definitely come again. Highly recommend for an afternoon out.

Our room at Cleatham Hall Hotel was absolutely beautiful, with vintage Victorian style and a gorgeous en suite. The huge bath looked out over the countryside, with the Pennines in the distance. We originally planned to book dinner for our wedding anniversary, then realized we could stay over too, so we made a mini break of it. The meal and breakfast were both excellent. We had our favourite scallops to start, then steak and salmon respectively, all cooked perfectly. Kate and Jim looked after us superbly, nothing was too much trouble. We’d absolutely go again. What a find!

The grounds are stunning for walks, and dinner in the restaurant was lovely. Jim and his wife are such lovely people, perfect hosts who were helpful in every way. The rooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and have super comfy beds and really powerful showers. A beautiful location and a little gem of a stay.
