The new landlady has changed the atmosphere for the worse, and we're not coming back. She spoke to customers in an aggressive, condescending way that felt unprofessional and made what should have been a nice evening uncomfortable. There was no reason for the tension, and she could have handled people politely. A pub ought to be relaxed and welcoming, but this now feels like the opposite. It's hard to believe poor management and basic customer service could ruin a good place so quickly. I'd advise others to spend their money somewhere else.

I'm a regular. The pub is just a normal place for this area, with daytime visits okay and evenings average. Today seven of us were offered a free drink in exchange for leaving a five-star review because of the recent negative comments. It isn't all that bad. Thanks for the drink :)

There's a good range of alcoholic and soft drinks, and the atmosphere is great. Karaoke runs on Fridays and Saturdays. Landlady bear is really helpful and friendly, and will go out of her way to help. Definitely recommend going along and enjoying it.

A really nice place for a drink, with friendly bar staff and manager and a great atmosphere. They put on karaoke every Friday and Saturday, plus an open mic night on the last Tuesday of each month. The open mic nights are absolutely amazing.

Really great little pub, with an amazing atmosphere and lovely staff and crowd. Best pub in town, in my view. Check it out if you haven't been ☺️
