Canoeing on the river was a highlight, and the onsite classroom worked perfectly for our workshops. We booked a small corporate retreat at River Wye Activity Centre and were very happy with it. The grounds are huge and great for team activities, and the bunkhouse was clean and cosy. Rob and Claire were especially helpful as we planned the schedule, and the staff made sure we had what we needed. It’s a well run place.

Our students had an unforgettable three day outdoor education trip, staying right on the stunning River Wye. The kids enjoyed canoeing, archery, and classroom sessions, and the meals were well organised with good portions. From the moment our school group arrived, the team made everything easy, from accommodation to activities.

We had a great weekend away canoeing as a group. The staff were excellent, friendly, and informative. Rob the owner is one of the most genuine people I’ve met. Well worth booking if you enjoy an adventure and don’t mind getting a little wet.

I called this company on the 12th of July at 13.21 before booking and explained that it would be me with a 16 year old and a 13 year old. He said it would be fine, as younger kids do their badges at 14. When we arrived, we were told it wasn’t possible, and the greeting wasn’t happy either. I understand their health and safety policy, but that wasn’t what we discussed on the phone. I’m giving it 2 stars because they refunded us. Utterly disappointed.

What a beautiful weekend, with lovely staff, stunning pizza and views, and amazing paddle boarding on the river. I’d highly recommend it and will definitely be back. The only downpour was losing my glasses in the river and struggling to see, lol. So, I’d advise not wearing them in the water. x
