AC Hotel by Marriott Glasgow

Afra at reception deserves a special thank you. She greeted me warmly and handled a couple of small room issues quickly and efficiently. Her professionalism, smile and lovely manner made a real impression. I work in hospitality myself, so I tend to notice the details, and the reception team here are genuinely top tier. The hotel felt peaceful and comfortable throughout my two nights in January, the rooms were spotless and well kept, and breakfast was very good with friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended.

The location is excellent, handy for attractions and restaurants, and I'd gladly stay here again. The room was spacious, clean and very comfortable. Breakfast had lots of delicious options, and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in until I left. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Getting around Glasgow was easy from this very central, accessible location, close to major sights, shops and restaurants. The room was a decent size and comfortable for a city visit; the bathroom was small but clean and well kept. Check-in was pleasant and smooth, and the staff were welcoming and efficient. I did find a noticeable amount of dust on the closet shelving, which set off my allergies. Housekeeping should pay closer attention to that. A solid stay with a good layout, though the cleaning needs to be more thorough, especially for people with allergies.

The room had some problems: mold at the bottom of the shower glass, possible water damage to the tile just outside it, and a glass panel on the bathroom door that looked like it had never been cleaned. The bed also seemed worn out, with squeaky springs, and didn't meet the usual AC standard. The rest of the room was clean, and the blackout curtains covered the windows completely. The hotel itself is modern and new, with plenty to like about its AC Brand style. The lobby and bar were busy most of the day. It's in a great part of the city, a short walk from Glasgow Queen Street station and easy to get around from.
