The kitchens are in such a bad state that they're seriously affecting my partner's health. Students need to learn to keep them clean, and the threat of losing their deposit at the end of the year clearly isn't enough to maintain hygiene through the year. Do staff even check? The freezer door won't close, as the picture shows, and there's a colony of fruit flies as well. For what people pay, this lack of standards is disgusting, especially since this is some students' first time away from home. I hope others see this and think twice before condemning themselves to this tragedy of the commons.

I only had a tight schedule and didn't spend much time there, but this place was a real retreat. My single room was a welcome change from a dorm, and there are kitchen facilities and lovely work spaces. I used it as a base to explore Glasgow, then take day trips to Stirling and Edinburgh. It's convenient too, with the bus and railway stations about a five minute walk away. The staff were kind and friendly, and the place was very well maintained. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

There are big kitchens, decent rooms and lots of social events, and the social side of living here is great. But the facilities don't feel worth the price. The terraces and brand new study spaces are out of use, and the lifts can stay broken for months without compensation for people on the higher floors. The plumbing is terrible too, so expect to spend a fortune on drain unblocker every week.

It's right beside the FlixBus station and close to Merchant City, which was really handy. The place itself was comfortable, but the view from my window was grim, and construction noise woke me around 9am most mornings, though I suppose that can happen anywhere. The student card requirement was frustrating. They wanted a date showing when my course started, but my card had the year on it, which surely should have been enough. My college was closed that week, so I couldn't get any more proof. They were letting foreign football fans stay there on the same dates, so I don't understand why they made such a fuss about my card.

I had a great stay in this student accommodation. It felt safe and pleasant, and the facilities were good. The staff were always welcoming and ready to help, especially Maria and Layla.
