Malmaison Glasgow

Great value, with spotless rooms, a very comfortable bed, and a great shower. The food was lovely and the staff friendly and knowledgeable. I’d definitely return.

Our guests thought they were coming to a surprise 40th birthday party for my now wife, but we’d actually invited them to our wedding reception at Malmaison. We married on Saturday 31st January at 23 Montrose Street Glasgow, and the evening reception was held at the hotel. Everyone there will remember the experience for a long time. The staff helped with everything from the early planning, including arranging private dining for our 30 day guests, using staff lifts so we wouldn’t bump into evening guests, and keeping the day guests in a separate part of the hotel. The meal from the head Chef was first class and enjoyed by everyone. We also got to speak with him at the menu tasting, which was a great addition. Carla and Alison deserve a special mention for helping us from the very start. They’re a credit to the hotel and the group. I’d give more stars if I could.

The location is great, the service was good, and breakfast was very good too. The rooms and corridors could use some attention. It’s not bad, but the last refurbishment was clearly a while ago, and some paint and care would help.

The service was excellent, but the room stayed dim even with every spotlight on. The dark walls added to the lack of light, so I think brighter rooms would be a good improvement.
