The check-in and breakfast were both very good, with friendly, efficient service. It’s a shame the dinner didn’t match the rest of the stay. We were there overnight on 10/02 for bed and breakfast, with pizza for dinner in the bar, which was fine by us. We ordered a veggie pizza, loaded fries, and a buffalo mozzarella and Parma ham pizza that cost extra. The veggie pizza and fries were okay, though they could have been warmer. The other pizza was cold, with a ball of buffalo mozzarella straight from the fridge that was never going to melt, and everything came on cold plates. We barely touched it, eating only half a slice. We waited more than an hour for someone to clear the plates, then moved to another table. There were only two people working in the bar, but it wasn’t busy, and no one checked whether the meal was okay. I filled in the feedback form they sent afterward and haven’t had a reply. The rest of the stay was actually quite good, which makes this a shame.

The beds were really comfy, and the rain shower was lovely. Our room on the eighth floor looked out over the river, with a table and chairs that gave us a bit more space to relax. The room felt a little basic, but everything worked fine. The hotel and room have a cool, edgy look, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed at RED Glasgow a few weeks ago for the Raye gig. Parking was easy, with spaces available in the car park, and it cost £12 overnight. The Hydro was just across the road, an easy little hobble in heels. There was some noise from the corridor and adjoining rooms, but that’s to be expected in a busy hotel. We didn’t eat at the restaurant or have a drink in the bar, though both looked fab and had a good buzz. Thanks, RED Glasgow, we’ll be back!

The breakfast buffet was superb. We also slept well, with barely any noise from inside the hotel or outdoors, thanks to what seemed like good soundproofing. Our room had a nice view over the river, and the shower was excellent, a great start to the day. We were there for one night to visit friends, so we didn’t eat at the hotel in the evening. The location is excellent, especially for the SECC, and the hotel parking is very reasonable for the city centre. Check-in took about 20 minutes because of the queue, which was a bit of a snag, but otherwise the room was very good.

Yasir’s kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out. He kept checking that guests were comfortable and happy, and made my stay much more enjoyable. The breakfast had an excellent range, and the facilities were top-notch. The hotel itself felt spotless and well looked after, with an interior that was elegant but still cozy. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warm smile and a refreshing atmosphere. It was an unforgettable stay at this Dubai hotel.

A big thanks to Andy, the night manager, for being so welcoming, friendly and professional. He went out of his way to make sure everything was right, and his service really made the stay better. He’s a real credit to the hotel. We had a great stay at Radisson RED Glasgow!
