I’m not usually keen on carveries and only have one when there’s no other option, as there was today. This one was delicious, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The pub sits in a pleasant rural spot on the A361 between glastonbury and shepton mallet, and is easy to get to. Credit where it’s due, I recommend it.

A lovely country pub with new owners, and such a warm welcome. The Sunday lunch was cooked perfectly, and you won’t leave hungry or disappointed. This was our second visit, and we’ve already booked for next Sunday. Call in and say hello to Abbey and everyone. It’s a family run pup with a big heart ❤️

My wife and I celebrated my 64th birthday here, and had a really enjoyable night out. The food and staff were fantastic, and the customers were friendly. The burger was amazing, the pudding was great, and Henry Weston cider was the icing on the cake. I’d recommend it to anyone.

We found this newly opened pub while looking for somewhere to eat on a trip to Glastonbury, and were glad we stopped. The service was outstanding, friendly and welcoming, and the traditional pub food was delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we booked for the Sunday carvery the next day, which was just as good. The fish and chips had crispy batter, the meat pie was beautiful, and the steak was well cooked. The carvery offered three meats, with a great selection of vegetables, roasties and Yorkshire puddings. There was plenty of food both times. Thank you.

The grounds are beautiful and the views stunning. We came for Sunday roast and the food was a 10/10. The gravy was the best I’ve had. Our family will be back very soon. Thanks to everyone at the Apple Tree.
